What is a security officer?

How do you become a security officer?
To work as a security officer, you must hold a professional card issued by the CNAPS (the French National Council for Private Security Activities).
This card is obtained through CQP APS training, which covers an introduction to the
security officer profession and the requirements regarding regulations and the various
duties.
In addition to a valid CNAPS card, two other conditions are required to enrol in
security officer training: a clean criminal record and French nationality (or a
residence permit of at least 5 years for foreign nationals).

behavioural skills to do the job well. One very important ability: staying calm. They must be able to handle a critical situation between several people while keeping a cool head. Being vigilant, attentive to every detail and able to analyse suspicious behaviour is also essential.
